Reuth TLV Develops AI-Powered Medication Training Tool for Stroke and Cognitive Patients

Reuth TLV continues to lead in the field of rehabilitation innovation with the development of MedMind, an interactive digital tool designed to help patients practice safe and independent medication management. The tool was developed by Netta Rumack, an occupational therapist at Reuth’s Tel Aviv Rehabilitation School, as part of her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Tel Aviv University’s Stanley Steyer School of Health Professions.
MedMind uses artificial intelligence to offer a personalized, game-based experience for patients recovering from stroke or coping with cognitive decline. The system allows users to enter their own medication list and then practice organizing their prescriptions virtually. Immediate feedback helps identify errors, encouraging learning and repetition in a safe and engaging environment.
“The idea was born out of a clinical need,” said Rumack. “Practicing with a real pill organizer is useful, but it doesn’t always allow for customization or consistent performance tracking. And for younger patients, it can feel inaccessible or even intimidating. MedMind provides a motivating and user-friendly alternative—one that builds confidence and supports long-term independence.”
Developed using AI technology from Base 44, MedMind is currently in use as part of occupational therapy sessions at Reuth. In addition to medication organization training, the platform includes games and activities related to prescriptions and pharmaceutical safety.
This initiative reflects Reuth TLV’s ongoing commitment to integrating advanced technologies into rehabilitation, and to developing forward-thinking solutions that improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
