Reuth response in wartime
These are not ordinary days. Like so much of Israel right now, Reuth is navigating the shift from routine to emergency – and we wanted you to hear directly from us about where things stand.
In the wake of Operation Roaring Lion, we are operating around the clock. Our wards are still open and treating patients – even under fire. Each day begins and ends with real-time situational assessments in close coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Home Front Command.
Because our building has no protected shelter, we have evacuated the hospital’s upper floor. Some 60 patients have been transferred to protected facilities at Sheba Medical Center, and 125 patients whose condition allows have been safely discharged home. Approximately 180 patients remain in our care at Reuth, including 130 people on ventilators who require constant, highly specialized attention.
Our Post-Trauma Clinic for soldiers and Eating Disorders Institute are both operating remotely. For many of these young men and women, this period is particularly harrowing. Making sure they stay connected and supported is a responsibility we take seriously.
None of this would be possible without your partnership.
Thank you for your steadfast support – and please don’t hesitate to reach out at any time:
